In comprehensive partnership with Yutong, SCAI is executing a strategic program to establish an advanced bus manufacturing and assembly facility in Sheikh Najjar Industrial City (Aleppo). The facility is dedicated to assembling modern diesel, hybrid, and electric urban buses (such as the Yutong 12m platform), forming the backbone of Syria's public transport transformation. Far beyond conventional assembly, this project acts as a catalyst for tech transfer and local capability building. It follows a structured localization roadmap—scaling from initial assembly (SKD) to full knock-down manufacturing (CKD). This initiative seamlessly integrates vehicle production, smart mobility infrastructure, and after-sales support within a sustainable automotive ecosystem.

SCAI is establishing a state-of-the-art Research & Development Center in Aleppo to serve as the technological backbone for next-generation vehicles and mobility systems. The center focuses on vehicle engineering, electric and hybrid mobility technologies, powertrain development, automotive electronics, and embedded software. Designed to bridge the gap between engineering expertise and industrial manufacturing, the center translates applied R&D into scalable solutions—driving the localized manufacturing of high-value-add components (such as ECU units, Battery Management Systems, and smart software platforms). It nurtures local engineering talent, builds technical capabilities, and secures the long-term sustainability of the automotive ecosystem.
